Golf Fitness Training
Dramatically Improve Your Game and
Avoid Low Back, Shoulder and Elbow Injury

Most Golfers Play Injured . . . Then They Quit!

The average golfer uses about 90%
of their peak muscular capacity
when driving a golf ball.

Correct golf form requires the locking of the front hip in a closed position with every swing. The golf swing is far more stressful on the joints, lower back, and shoulders than swinging a baseball bat, where the front hip is allowed to freely move.

A golf club is swung with the same level of intensity a professional baseball player will use when swinging a baseball bat. Considering that the average golfer drives a ball significantly more times than a baseball player hits a baseball in a single game, the opportunity for golf-related injury is significant and multiplies with each swing.

Low Back, Shoulder and Elbow Injuries
Account for the Majority of Golf-Related Complaints

Back Pain Relief The intense torque demanded by a golf swing, the locking of the front hip and the momentum of the club place tremendous stress on the lower back, shoulders and elbows. Proper technique requires: 1) upper body strength, 2) postural balance, 3) strong hands, 4) spinal flexibility and the coordinated function of a 5) solid core and 6) strong para vertebral spinal muscles. Without proper conditioning these muscle groups become likely candidates for repetitivestress injury.

Most traditional muscle-building equipment, as found in a typical health club, is biomechanically incorrect and totally inappropriate for the average golfer. Machines that isolate individual muscles and do not allow free motion of the joint lead to joint injury, the development of a bulky and inflexible muscle and a muscle that works out of harmony with adjoining muscle groups.

For a lifetime of enjoyment on a golf course, certain biomechanically correct exercises, specific to the game of golf, should be performed as an initial conditioning program before any involvement in the sport, as part of your pre-game warmup and on a daily basis as maintenance. These exercises must be performed on equipment that is joint-friendly, allowing totally free motion of the joint.
